Well we have finally made the big time. EAA just Fed Ex'ed me three
copies of the February 2002 issue of Sport Aviation magazine with
my eight page feature article on the rotary engine.

The article is one of three mentioned on the cover.

I want to thank the dozens of people on here that have contributed to
my knowledge of the rotary over the past almost four years to allow
me to write this article with authority. A special thanks to Tracy Crook
for his perseverance in perfecting the rotary engine aircraft installation.
Several have tried prior to Tracy but none have succeeded and solved problems
to the extent that Tracy has. When it became apparent that the Ross was
really less than a perfect PSRU Tracy redesigned it and solved the problems.
When an EFI/IGN computer was needed for aircraft use Tracy designed and
developed one. Thanks a bunch Tracy.

Hopefully the rotary will now start to gain the respect it deserves
as the best light aircraft engine ever. The way forward is ever more powerful
rotary engines and faster and faster airplanes with higher and higher
MPG numbers. I foresee a revolution in the light aircraft industry
when the rotary is widely used. I see longer TBO times with more reliable,
less finicky engines and far more tolerant of mistreatment than our
current air cooled aircraft engines. Less noise and vibration are
going to be achieved to make a long trip in a light airplane as enjoyable
as it is in a luxury automobile. Currently this is not the case.
My C182 is a noisy bugger and prone to severe vibration levels.

Good work guys. Keep it up.
