If you have a distributor now, you could add two MSDs or Chrysler amplifiers > and trigger them with the stock pickup coils. You won't need the "igniters" at

all.

The igniters are very sensitive and will fire when you slam a door too hard.

Going to a Crane or MSD CD system will improve emissions, performance and
reliability, and you don't use the igniters.
