For TIG welding Inconel, use argon gas in the torch and you must use a backup gas
of argon also underneath the weld. Both about 15 pounds pressure. The rod must
match the parent metal. It must be tacked together first, using backup the whole
time, then welded in sections to keep it from warping. Inconel welds very slowly
so take your time and wait for it to penetrate. The metal should be prepped prior
to tacking.
