The best thing to do if you don't use an early

version

of ACAD is plot the file to disk as a bit map

gif. ACAD R12 does this well

but I can't tell you what other CAD programs do.

Some will output the file as a bmp, jpg, gif,

tiff, etc., etc.,

bit maps. That is good too.

Since DXFs in general don't work across CAD

programs.

Even CAD programs made by the same company.

Generally they

are useless.

Next best thing is a screen capture program.
Capture the CAD display while in the CAD

program.

Plenty of free screen capture program ones on

the internet.

   Let me try ones more. I can export dwgs.in the

following file

   types: MWF, EPS, DXX, BMP, DXF and DWG.
   The attachment is a BMP. file.

That worked fine. Looks like it will work OK.
What keeps the balls from running out of the slots?

Paul look on the left side of the drawing you will see
a little plastic part I presume to keep equal distance
between ball and keeping them together at theirs right
place.

I don't see it.
I think keeping the balls in place is not what is needed. They need to roll
along the slots and not slide. The balls, if working right, will move half
the distance the slide moves. That is the idea behindlinear ball bearings. 
This device is designed that way and the balls will be realigned each
time the slide goes from stop to stop. They just need devices to 
keep them from coming out the ends of the slide.
