Old message from Ken Powell.
I took these measurements a few weeks ago and came up with the following:
1. Inner coolant o-ring [part numbers sniped could be wrong] (just
for the record I think you originally identified these): circumference =
28.625
diameter = 9.111
slot depth = 0.062
slot width = 0.141
2. outer coolant o-ring -
diameter = 11.340
slot depth = 0.062
slot width = 0.110
If this is the case make sure the outer ring is no more than .093 dia. in section
size. Not 3/32 as 3/32 O-rings are larger than .093 inches in section diameter for
some strange reason. Note! the outer slot is narrower than the inner slot
so there is less room for expansion.
Order by size from Creavey.com direct. Part numbers will get you in trouble.
These are not standard size O-rings. Perhaps metric.
Also I might add makes sure the slots are spotlessly clean.
Store the O-rings on a board for a few days to allow them to take
an exact set and sit in the slots without grease or Vaseline.
Use Vaseline to hold them in when it comes time to assemble the engine.

Sorry for the tardy reply. Up to my ears in doing my annual on my C177rg-
including painting parts of it.
Measurements from an 1990 13Bnt first run disassembly SN, about 109,000
miles, unlaped center
housing-
water/oil pump side
outer distance, inside to inside groove = 12.0" exactly. (I couldn't find any
more!)
inner distance, inside to inside groove = 9-25/32" (used a machinists scale as
above)
depth in quadrants outer = .063/.063/.070/.069 (not completely
decarbonized....)
depth in quadrants inner = .061/.063/.066/.064
inner width = .151/.152/.152/.152
outer width = .125/.126/.124/.125
flywheel side
outer distance, inside to inside groove = 12.0" exactly. (not a bit more it
looks to me )
inner distance, inside to inside groove = 9-25/32" (used a machinists scale as
above)
depth in quadrants outer = .062/.060/.059/.063 (not completely
decarbonized....)
depth in quadrants inner = .063/.059/.062/.063
inner width = .151/.154/.151/.153
outer width = .125/.125/.123/.125
Hope it helps. Like I said, I have an engine put together and running using
Hayes teflon encapsulated silicone o rings for every single o ring. Will
your prices be lower???
