Awhile ago there was some extensive discussions on

the Canard Aviators list about this issue. It seemed
the concensus was to use a length of twisted pair of
solid core wires with cheap vinyl insulation (Radio
Hack) and position these in the appropriate parts of
the cowling. Not sure what temp the vinyl melts at.

Yeah Chrissi I started that discussion on the canard
list but never really got any good answers.. new list
new ideas..

I am beginning to think we need something of a multiple point temp monitor, high set points (might have to offset for ambient) and then anything that starts to trend up from there trips a warning(s).
I know I want something back there.
