BTW here is a little market survey:
How many would buy an audio system at $150?
How many would pay $300 for a four line 20 character monochrome LCD?
How many would pay $1000 for a Compact Ipaq PDA color based system?

How many would pay $10k for an all inclusive EFIS that will grow and expand as the technology does? Not having invested in any of the other parts this seems the way we will go but still would want a portable device for backup and data gathering. Since I already have the IPAQ that is the way I lean for the backup and data.
Another cheap alternative for data would be hacking the Palm products.

What do you mean by grow and expand?. A Compaq based IPAQ is at the limit with
ten or twelve readings. The screen is only 320 by 200 pixels.
Are you thinking the attitude indicator will run on the same IPAQ?
What happens next month when the Ipaq new model comes out?
Does one throw out the current model and buy the new one?
