buttons. I'd like to wire a high temp/fire alarm
circuit in my varieze to a simple LCD bulb or
horn+bulb. I've checked with 3 of the big button
makers and they only offer sensors up to about 350
degrees F. tops, and they don't like to sell direct.
I'd like to have 8 or more sensors in and around the
engine, fire wall and spar area that would close the
circuit at around 400, 450, 475 or even 500 F would
do.

This could also be one of the channels the EFIS scans.

New or used Auto/motorcycle ignition points would make
good cheap, reliable switches with a suitable material
that melts at around 450 holding the points open but
that borders on redneck. (((GRINS))) I'd just like to
get a discussion going on this subject.
