Thanks,

I am planning on using a stock 2nd gen oil cooler
along side the rad
oriented fore and aft.

Paul, while on the subject I would like to know if
you feel the stock oil cooler is enought for a turbo
engine. Is there a difference between the NA and turbo
cooler? Also need sizing for the radiator. Do you
plan to manually control your turbo, or will it be
throttle controlled, and if so how about a description
of the setup for it. From a non engineer, Jim
Coffman

I am not sure yet Jim. I think a lot of the guys flying are not paying enough
attention to aerodynamic duct and scoop details. I see leaks
around many rad installations and very little attention to what
may be high pressure in the cowl behind the rads. I also think
stock rads will work fine as the dynamic pressure is twice
to four times higher than what the car cooling engineers have to work
with. The car engineers are also making the same kinds of mistakes
based on what I am seeing with my manometer on my first gen RX7.

The rads MUST be well sealed and cowl pressure measurements
MUST be made. The big problem is one can not see air flow so
without making pressure measurements one is floundering
around in the dark.
