Hi to everyone
New member here.
Just ordered our plans. Strange as it may sound already working on a
propeller design.
We have been looking at canard plans/kits for sometime and now are ready
to start some action.
We intend to build our own variable pitch reversable 3 bladed prop.
We will use an auto conversion engine with a redrive. The prop will be
manually controlled, based on a design that we worked on in the
military.  It is a 3 bladed design by Hamilton Standard, and paired to a
AirResearch turboprop engine.The blade pitch is adjusted from the
cockpit with a power lever, since the turbine runs at a constant speed
the power lever sets the prop pitch thus the power.
Our prop will be a laminated maple and glass composite with a chromoly
shaft in the blades, retained in the hub with a nut and a bearing. The
shaft will have a cam and a yoke to change the pitch. Similiar to the
way the IVO  prop works except blade twist instead of wing warp.

Hi Paul
Putting some together now, very busy this week tho, so it will probably be
next week before we have enough for much interest.
We have visited your web site also.
We plan to use a rotary, have found a couple of 12A's. (for cheep) We are a
highly qualified piston, and turbine technician, and have just picked up on
rotary's.
We have always been and still are a very strong lover of GM engines/auto's.
This has not changed, nor will, but your web site got us interested in the
rotary.  We have been looking for a suitable engine for our canard and
helicopter for sometime now.  We have considered all that Gm has or has had
including the corvair.   We know GM fuel injection very well, and have
modified it many ways.
The rotary is a new concept for us, but we find it very intriguing and having
many possibilities for us.  We know that GM bought the rights to the Wankle in
the 70's and developed a 2, and a four rotor for the corvette. Not sure why
they did not continue it.
We will probably use the 12A, it is powerful enough in stock form and can be
ported some to bring the power up somewhat.  We can also pick up a couple for
a couple hundred bucks to play with.
Have to determine a way to use a GM ECU for fuel and ignition control.

It can be done of course but Tracy Crook sells a dedicated aircraft unit for 
$750 that is hard to beat as it is two totally redundant units in one
box. If one quits you can switch to the other. IMHO the 12A would be
a bit marginal in HP for a Cozy unless you can find a 2.85:1 gear box someplace.
