Mainly, because I'm 6'-0", 280lbs. Yes, I need to go on a diet and get back
to 205. :) I need all the room I can get, and the Velocity XL so far, seems to
have the biggest cabin/comfort. Just crawled throught a Flying Fortress this
weekend at the airshow, tight fit. They seem to only make cabins for 5'-7"
150lb male/females. Anyone have any alternitives?

The 4 seat cozy has a front seat total capacity of 400 lbs. This is the
critical "end" of the canard plane as it is the farthest point from the CG.
When did you last see a tail baggage compartment with 400+ rating on a
conventional small aircraft?
I am much larger than you. I am 6'6" and weight 350+ (you guess on the plus
{;>) ). If I got to a trim size with my frame, I would still be 315-325! I
feel your pain. There is a guy at our chapter who owns a 3 place cozy and has
to sit on a cushion to see, and reach the rudders, but I over look his short
comings!
The kit that has my interest at the time is the Murphy Moose (a beefed up
Super Rebel 2500). It has a gross of 3500 lbs with useful load of 1700-1800
lbs, seats 4-6 (fold up rear seats for extra cargo), T/O and land within 800
ft, cruise 140-155 mph, and is designed for 250-360 HP engine. Perfect for a
20B NA or turbo. Not as fast as a mini plastic plane or Van's RV, but the
speed tradeoff is worth it for the SUV utility. Barney (?) on this list is
building one (Super Rebel).

One could always move the controls back and sit in the back seat.
