Here is an idea for you. Add a little boat tail rudder area and reduce the
drag by recovering some of the cooling energy.

Paul, thanks for the drawings, you really put a lot of thought into it. I can see keeping down the drag after adding all this is going to be tough. Guys on canards make small changes to their cowlings and see +/-5 kts  from subtle changes. The other end of the scale is Greg's Cozy with 3 P-51 scoops... looks like the new Firebird where the marketing people decided "hey those kids will buy anything with lots of scoops" so when they ran out of room for more scoops they put scoops on top of the scoops. (sorry Greg) (he is in the process of changing that)

Not really. As Perry is alluding too I merely modified an idea I had on
a Long Ez motor mount. Burt's motor mount firewall  hard points really suck.
This one picks up the landing gear pivot bolts for more strength.
Last I heard Perry said he was going to use it.
