We had our cooling problems :-)> Fortunately it was real hot down
in Texas at the test track so we could work them out in testing.

For sure......I was just one of those folks who liked seeing those
white cars win races......obviously a lot of R&D went into them.
The 2F went pretty well with a 427 Chevy......wonder what it might
have done with a 4 rotor? A whole new set of problems doubtless......
but at least it had a wing;) and went about 180 or so.

It was much faster than that Harold. I can tell you some really interesting
stories if it were not for the fact that this is a rotary news letter.
In short it set lap records everywhere in Europe it ran that stood
for two years. A very unusual thing for a race car to do.

Here is a picture the Mazda Leman winning four rotor taken by me in
Santa Ana about six months ago. Notice how they copied the 2F
aero design :-)>

Paul, if you have any old Chapperal pictures, whatever, not added yet to the
website, please do when you get a chance.

They were my favorite as 7-11 year old when they finally stopped running. 2G
to the 2J...awesome engineering.

I don't have many I took my self. There are some nice coffee table
books out however.
