Paul, since you are nearby Klaus's hanger. He was flying with someone at

Rough River that had a Long or Vari canard that had what looked like a very
well developed subaru drive system. The unique aspect was the augmented
exaust, a very clean installation. Unique sound and look too. Have you seen
a canard over there with a very large round hole under the prop?

That is Charlie Airesman airplane and he is based in Maryland.

Charlie is changing over to turbo. He runs an early DOHC EJ25 block with
SOHC EJ22 heads (for weight reasons).  I have his EC2 controller in for the
mods now.  I think he will blow Klaus out of the water when he gets it back
in the air in May.
