Paul and others,

I have to choose an engine for my airplane.
Is it have some good reason to put a 13B instead of 12 A in an airplane.

More power.

Is it have some year it is better to get than other or never touch to.

1989 or later.

Is it better to don't touch the turbo one's.

Well some same they crack. The 89 91 crack way less than the 87-88

The later 3rd gen dual turbo are two complicated and too heavy. They crack too.

Is it a good idea to port the engine for increasing the power ( 12 A peripheral port) or if it is critical.

Any peripheral port engine will generate more power.

I can have many 12A from different year and I can have "87"13B turbo 75K miles actually in a car and running, just little smoke when starting, complete for 1500.00$cdn.

The 87 turbo is probably cracked. You could put a 89-91 turbo manifold and turbo on it
as that is a bolt on.... or go with an HKS turbo manifold and a TO4 turbo.
