 Well now that is different. AOL owns NetScape and you may be using
 a version of NetScape browser for your email program as I first suspected.

 Course since you are also using Yahoo... Yahoo could be filtering the
 jpg's and gif's. You are not getting email directly. It is now going
 through the Yahoo computer and into a web browser instead of directly
 into an email program. All bets are off on the quality of the jpg's and

 Yahoo is bad news since they are limited in the number and size
 of messages they will store. I recommend getting a good ISP where
 you pay about $20 a month. I have a lot of trouble with the free ISP's.

Although AOL "owns" netscape, i think they use IE.

I use AOL, and use Thumbs+ as a way to catagorize and view the graphics.
