From Ken Welter
I have been just plugging the outlet on the front cover but beings I
am not using the injector I was considering plugging the galley at
the o ring but that would eliminate the pressure control valve, any
thoughts on how important that valve is.
You don't suppose doing away with the pressure control valve caused
Chuck Harberts oil cooler to fail and caused his in-flight fire do you?
I don't know if he made the mod... or had it made or not. Still sounds scary.
Mazda put it in there for a reason.

From Ken Welter
Yes I think your right I will leave the o ring galley functional if
it works I should not fix it. Also for you that run the injector it
will function as normal this way. One more note on the problem o
ring. To fix this I machined a recess in the front cover for the o
ring and do not run a front gasket. I just use permatex ultra blue
silicone. This way there is no way that o ring getting out of there.
