  I plan to use Ian's approach and pump out the old oil at change
time.
Standard practice for many boats with inboard engines where it would
be
difficult to get to a sump drain.

  As for plumbing of the oil filter and cooler, what you've
suggested is
standard practice and I think most of us are doing this. Racing Beat
sells
the filter block off plate that you mention. In my case Bruce
Turrentine
machined off the filter mount pad on the rear housing, machined an
interconnecting passage, and blocked off the holes which originally
went to
the oil filter pad. This cleans up the block a little and eliminates
the
need for the Racing Beat block off plate.

  Sorry, but no I dont have any pictures. Had some but cant locate them
now. And my digital camera broke so cant take more at the moment. You
might
try contacting Bruce to see if he has pictures. He does this to provide
that extra clearance you are looking for. Didnt need it in my case but
it
does clean up the appearance of the engine.

email address? Last I heard from him he said the 20B overhaul tape was
ready. I would like to get one.
