S-glass is used, in most cases. Haven't heard of Carbon used in this area -
perhaps not enough flex !?

I might be wrong about the Carbon - I do remember a company used carbon rods
for some Dragonfly legs
but the curve had to be a gradual curve (no sharp bends) unlike the
aluminium or some S-glass legs.

Please let me know if you find some data on the construction side. I would
appreciate some additional info.
