fitting to AN fittings for the oil cooler plumbing anyway so you might

just

use an AN fitting for this modification. Mazdatrix and others sell a

kit

for the Mazda that converts the oil cooler lines to AN SS hose.
Mazda had a lot of trouble in the second gen RX7 with failed oil cooler
lines.

What is Swagelok?

Swagelock are reusable compression fittings. They make them in aluminum, SS
and brass. My friend's marine oil pump company switched entirely to
Swagelock and are very pleased. I use them in my fuel system.

It does not matter what you use for hose as long as it is reliable at
100 psi. The problem was cracking the end cover with a tapered pipe thread.

BTW Lynn I think you can get straight thread fittings with captured
O-rings under the head. There is a little groove under the head that
holds the O-ring. Then all you need do is counter bore the casting a bit
to square it up with the hole.
