I was just about to order  a couple (one for plane, one for car) when it

Anybody need these connectors to make their own cables for the iPaq 31/36/3700
series Pocket PC?

$2.50 a piece + $5 shipping.

I'll take a couple whether I need them or not.
I've been looking at the PHAROS IPAQ GPS, not the CF card based one; the CF antenna based ones have problems inside a car, even a plastic Corvette. I was hoping a CF one would work because it would leave the socket on the bottom open. As it turns out, if you do use a CF one then you would probably have to buy the expensive dual CF backpack so you have a CF card to store all the maps on for a long trip. A friend drove here from Boston and she said it took 100 meg for her IPAQ GPS. She has the Teletype model with both antennas, dual  CF backpack and 500meg microdrive... GEEK!
I'd go with the Magellen 310 but I do not think my mapping software source will come through in time for the long drive to S&F.
