      To Lynn Hanover and all,

         The "Stewart" web page mentioned above is the source I mentioned
 in a previous post concerning the advisability of placing the radiator
 pressure cap to the inlet side of the water pump. Would you review the
 "Stewart" tech info on this subject and give us your opinion?

Excellent advice. These guys obviously know what they are talking about.
It makes good sense to put the cap after the radiator pressure drop.
The inlet side of the pump is the lowest pressure point in the cooling system.

BTW I forgot to mention you also need the pressure cap at the highest point in
the system to separate the bubbles. That makes it difficult to arrange.
If you use a seperate header tank and pressure cap you need to vent it to
the top of the engine so there goes the pressure at the inlet of the pump.

You now have the pressure at the top of the engine which means you will
bypass the radiator with hot coolant. High pressure hot coolant will flow
out the vent line into the low pressure inlet side of the pump.
I think we need to keep the pressure cap where it is unless of course 
we want to relocate the water pump inlet to make it the highest 
point in the system.
