       Nice airplane, but it does say you can use lighter engines but not
heavier engines siting the Continental 65HP as an example of too heavy. My
BD-4 will have wheel pants almost this big as this bird. The 12A would have
plenty of excess power for this design, but the installed weight will be that
of a O320 or more. You could scale up the plans enough to account for the
increased weight, and do a new stress analysis, if you love that shape. The
VariViggen is a Rutan designed Delta wing canard in all wood, with tandem
seating. Very fast and designed for the heavy 320s and 360s. A 12A or 13B
would work there. It has a small footprint if building space is a problem.
