  To remove a broken tension bolt I installed  a left hand drill in
the end of a shaft to run through the housings and it worked great.

So that is number three. Take those bolts out folks, one at a time and

coat

them with RTV.

OK, I've got all my tension bolts out, and they have the sinusoid grooves to
change resonance in them.  They also appear to have some vinyl shrink tubing
on the grooves, but only on about half the grooved portion.  Is this
correct?  Should I remove the shrink tubing and reapply, or just leave well
enough alone?  If so, how much?

You are in fine shape Tom. No need for the RTV. You have the late
design that appears to have fixed the problem.
