Did you ever contact Tom Jordan? If you don't wish to.... send me his
phone number on an email marked private and I will call him for an update.
I am real curious about how he is doing.
Here is a picture of his scoop for his supercharged 13B Limo EZ.
It is going to take some calling wrong numbers or trying to bug him at his
office because there are several Tom Jordans in the area. I did ask at our
local EAA meeting and they said yes they know of him but that he is not a
member of our chapter.
Anyhow, calling his office is on my list of things to do. Nice big scoop, I
wonder how many knots that costs.

Not much if you do the exit flaps right.
Here is a shot of the rads. This setup is ideal for vertical butterfly flaps
just in front of the prop. That's Tom in the background.

No heat problems with the exhaust aiming right at the prop hub?
Scott Gettings
O Yes. You can stand in back of that prop when Tom is running it up at 5 inches of boost
and look into the exhaust pipe. The guts of the muffler go white hot... almost transparent.
The guts will eventually be spit out and will have to go through the prop. The wood prop
was already showing some burn marks. That exhaust system, I am sure, will have to be changed.
BTW Vlad told me the Russians spent millions of rubles trying to come up with
a cheap way of quieting the wankel and they discovered the simple use of square tubing
does wonders. Brian Trubee was ahead of his time with this muffler design.
Jerry, can you weld up one of these out of .049 321 for use on our test stand?
No rush. Fab the out put pipe out of flat sheet and make it square.
