You're starting to see more-n-more drivers made for software modems
(winmodems), so it may be possible to find a driver out there for whatever
breed it is.

My first stop would be www.linmodems.org , and then next would be a "google"
search using "whatever-modem-it-is & linux driver"."

Hope that helps...We should be able to come up with something. Toshiba (and
Dell and Sony) are top sellers, lots of Linux loads out there I'm sure.
