Hi Lynn;

A while back an aquaintance asked me if the Rutan plans
were still available to builders specifically the Vary
Viggen, I quickly and matter of factly informed him that
Burt had taken them off the market due to product
liability insurance issues conflicting with his much,
much bigger business ventures. I also informed him of
the Rutan CD's available through Wicks A/C Supply but
that I thought the plans were for reference ONLY!! .....

Based on your above recent posting, I may have
erroneously mis-informed this gentleman and in fact you
can acquire plans or build and register an aircraft from
the CDs.

What's the skinny on this?????? ......I would like to
set this record straight ..........Lynn?, anybody.

   You had it right.  I know the folks at TERF that produced the CDs (and
own a set).  The Rutan CD is for 'Entertainment' use only - there is no
license to build anything.  RAF required that all templates be omitted from
the CD.  More info can be had from Mr. Rob Wisner, robwisner@msn.com
