My 1988  RX-7 owner's manual says, "DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL."

Yes but they don't tell you why not or what brands. Some are using Mobil 1

with

no apparent problems. I tried soaking the green Oil O-rings
in Mobil 1 with no apparent problems.

The problem with synthetic oil in the car is due to catalytic converter
trouble when ingesting the unburned synthetic injected into the rotor
housing.  We don't need to worry about it.

Tracy,  is your engine still not burning any oil between changes?
Do you know what color oil O-rings Bruce put in there?
Any oil smoke when you start it up?
