1st engine with 856 hours had stock Mazda oil seal O-rings.  Last 800 hours
was on Mobile1 synthetic.   No problems.
Current engine is at about 450 hours (all on Mobile1) and O- rings are
whatever Bruce Turrentine used (think he uses Viton).  I still have to drain
about 1/2 quart after ~ 50 hours due to 2 stroke & MMO oil mixed in fuel
being recovered off the walls of side housings.

Neither engine has ever smoked on startup except for the first engine before
I overhauled it (prior to first flight).  I ALWAYS carefully observe the 210
F   oil temp redline (measured at engine inlet) and reduce power setting if
it is reached.  If your oil cooling system is working properly it is easy to
stay under 210.  Summertime oil temp at cruise is around 180 F.  Will reach
redline in full power climb if air temp is over 92F.
