I am not sure about the browser as I don't use it much.
The search engine in Netscape email Messenger is critical to my needs.
Any email program I switch to must be file compatible with
Netscape Messenger and have a comparable search engine.

Paul, I had to switch to to OE (outlook express) because netscape
communicator kept freezing on me, and it imported the communicator files
flawlessly, but the search engine doesn't compare to the one communicator
has.

Yes it happens to me once in awhile.
If a program crashes in Windows it is a lot more serious than
a program crashing in Linux so that does not bother me.

Linux is layered and one can go down layer by layer until
one gets to the layer that is still working. It is one click to
"kill" a crashed program in Linux and one click to fresh start it again.

This is a major advantage of not having the browser and email program
integrated into the operating system as Microsoft claims Internet Explorer
and Outlook Express is integrated into Windows.

Paul we used netscape for a long time, but found Mozilla, and have not
had a crash with it.
Netscape is built on the mozilla code base, and mozilla works and looks
much the same way as Netscape does.
Netscape used to crash several times a day, and sometimes it would take
out win98 with it.
Mozilla crashed one time on a particular URL, but has not otherwise.

BTW Mozilla is open source, and is available for Linux.

I'll try it soon. No rush as the Linux version does not crash that often.
