That chapter 12 K&M pdf file is coming in real handy.
BTW anybody what does the software cost that converts scans to pdf files?

Paul,
To create simple pdf files, or files with some features disabled (like print or save), go to www.win2pdf.com . It's a "printer" that saves printer files. Really good stuff, cost is only $35 (or $60 for the enhanced version). Works great, simple, but only for Win2K/WinXP systems.

The pdf features that seem most useful to me are scrolling up and down through
multiple pages and zooming in and out. Can this software generate
a pdf file that a pdf reader can read and manipulate in that manner?

I copied this message and saved as a pdf file (see attachment).
I am using OS X (Mac). I think the pdf format is platform independent but to be sure, just let me know if you were able to open it.

That worked great Al. So far I have seen nothing with text book
type graphics yet. Just text. Can you print something with graphs in it
and convert it to a pdf for me.
