Tracy, can you help us out on these dimensions? Anybody? I don't have
my
PSRU
here. It is up at the hangar.
Spacer blocks spools are 3.050 inches long.
Use a half inch ball end mill and it will give a .25 radius.

Total length of housing is 9.630 including planet carrier housing (not
shown
on the jpg you sent). Prop shaft extends another 1.39" past end of
housing.
Dia at base of P.C. Housing is about 6.8". Web thickness at front
bearing
is about .5" but the entier housing and prop shaft stiffness could be
considered infinite for the purpose of an FEA. The plate will be the
controlling factor.

Great, thanks!
You better believe I am considering that prop shaft of yours infinite for
the FEA!!! :-) Actually, I am not doing analysis on the drive, but I
needed the info ONLY for resonant frequency considerations on the plate.
That way, we can get as close to the operating environment as possible.
With respect, I am only doing this for the mount plate. Your drive is
beyond proven!!! :-)

That makes everybody feel good but I would still be interested
in the prop flange and prop shaft deflection with 600 foot pounds applied:-)
After all the gyro input torque to the plate must go through these parts.
