Bill, I checked my rad to see if it would fit in the
new configuration. Looks tight but I think it will
fit with no cowl modifications other than loping off
the hump on the bottom of the cowl which I was going to do anyway.

Here is a shot looking in the left nostril and you
can see the rad just touching the cowl. Perhaps a little
chamfer is called for on the rad header tank.


My rad is a stock Howe Racing $200 all aluminum. 27 1/2 inches wide
over all. 24 inch wide core. A slightly shorter rad would fit
better of course. A two pass version would get both inlet and
outlet on the same side of the engine as the water pump.

14 3/4  inches fore and aft core.
Header tank is 3 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches wide.
The core is 2.25 inches thick. Probably a bit big for a NA 13B but
I hope to get at least 250 HP out of my turbo.

To obtain a 25% inlet opening area the front of the wedge will only 
have to be four inches high. 

I will build a new test box using this rad and the transverse scheme. 
I will also build a set of venetian blind cowl flaps to test.
I can try different ducts feeding the wedge.
