What does the designation 13b-REW mean. I've been looking for a block
to purchase and rebuild and
keep coming across the designation REW? Just a guess but does it mean
Rotary Engine Wankel?

Thanks

13BREW = (13) 1.3liter rotary engine, (B) meaning 2nd designation for
mass-produced engine (I think), (RE) Rotary Engine, and (W) is double
turbocharger. The 13BREW blocks are used in the Mazda FD3S/Rx7 (6th series,
'93 to '96) model.  They're a superior engine oil system and structure-wise
as compared to their older successors.
