I have my new rad test box half built.
This time I am using the actual rad I will be using
in the airplane. It is sideways with a simple wedge shaped
duct. I will test it with and without three venetian blind type
cowl flaps. I moved it up further from the roof of the van to be
sure I had clean horizontal air.
The opening is 5 inches high by 24 inches wide or 33% of the rad area.
My rad is a stock Howe Racing $200 all aluminum. 27 1/2 inches wide
over all. 24 inch wide core. 14 3/4 inches fore and aft core.
The core is 2.25 inches thick.
