This appears to be a Europe "ultra light" probabbly a motorglider
with a 55 hp Mid West Wankel. Pretty clean - 200kph with 55 hp.

Vance,
I do read German, it is an interesting article. A part of it is cut off but it
does not matter, the main info is there. The Mid West motor is a single
rotor. Top plane speed (not to exceed) is 300 km/h. Plane is lighter now,
weighing in at 200 kg ~440 lbs, allows 140 kg, 308 lbs payload which is pretty
good for a UL one-seater. Final certification is expected during the ILA.
Motors from BMW and Limbach are both heavier than the normally used Rotax 912
S. With the BMW horizontal speed was 265 km/h. Up to the time of exhibition 6
Impulse 100 left the company. Now, two per month are being build. Further
plans are 200 hp Lycoming (Experimental) in Kit form with Limbach motor of 135
hp. A Thielert Diesel is also explored. At 200 km/h only 40 hp is required.
You seem to be interested in new stuff. I am working on a new rotary engine
myself. If you are interested I'll send you some info on it.
Thanks for the web site address of Pivotal in Australia. This is a two-cycle
engine, not good for flying I guess.
