hi all still hopeing some one can furnish us with an acurate
drawing of the single rotor e
shaft with which we can write cnc program for our machining center.
we will have available soon
6,5b e shafts for $250 for all who want them. thanks walt williams

Walt,
Yes, again. put me down for 2. Are you talking about modifying our
existing E-shafts or are these
totally from scratch ?
Another possibility for modifying existing e-shafts. Consider the
possibility of turning down the
diameter of the e-shaft between the front (auto engine coordinates) of
the rear e-shaft rotor bearing
and the front of the front e-shaft rotor bearing to a diameter X (less
than the rear e-shaft bearing
diameter). Or maybe tapered. Then cut the e-shaft just ahead of the rear
rotor bearing. Bore the
inside of the rear section of the e-shaft to diameter X to allow the
remaining front portion (dia. X)
of the e-shaft to be shrink fit into the rear portion. (Yes, a drawing
would be helpful but I have a
problem generating drawings) (:>}. Key the 2 sections together for
torque loads and tie them together
with a bolt through the rear of the e-shaft (by the flywheel nut) for
thrust loads., maintaining the
required oil passages.
As any fool can tell I am not a mechanical engineer or a machinist, but
you all know that us
electrical engineers are really frustrated mechanicals who could not cut
the course work required for
a real engineering degree.
What say you all ?
