There is now an AD out on Lycoming Cranks that includes cranks they just
installed to repair another AD. For 300 HP and up. The aircraft are

grounded

as of now and require a ferry permit to move to a repair facility. These

are

high dollar aircraft and there will be hell to pay for a long time

before

hundreds of newer aircraft can be used again.

There are no AD's on Rotary engines.

leading coil ballast resistor change is mandatory if you want to avoid a
definite failure.

We have had 3 separate tension bolt failures which definitely indicates the
need to damp the vibrations.  (see my website for details on the fix I
used).

And the front cover oil passage O-ring is a known trouble spot.

The good news is that we don't have any ADs.   The bad news is that we don't
have any ADs.
