You are also creating turbo oil drain back problems by mounting
the turbo too low. Never the less this is an interesting project.

That right there is enough to keep it up above the pan. Either way I am
liking the lighter weight stainless manifold idea more and more.

I know of at least two builders so far that have struggled with
turbo oil drain back problems not to mention Mazda themselves.
This little heat shield is mandatory.
The drain back MUST go into the oil pan in above the oil level in the pan.
