As I was looking at this information on Square Tube Elbows for intake and
exhaust manifolds, I noticed that they were available in Aluminum as well
as
Stainless Steel.
Would Al square tube elbows simplify fabrication and installation of tuned
intake manifolds?

Also, square tubes have more skin friction drag and that is one reason
they are good for quieting exhaust gas pulses. They are not as good for
intakes
where you need low skin friction drag and high efficiency.

Would the stainless flex tubing previously discussed also quiet the exhaust pulses
due to the internal corrugations ? Does anyone have an idea how far
downstream from the exhaust port the flex should be to tolerate the heat ?
