This of course is with the left side of the cowl cut
away to show how things fit in the cowl.
The motor mounts tubes must be within and inch of the position
shown or they will interfere with something.

The intermediate firewall is a good idea as it allows
complete flexibility of where the motor mount tubes go.

Some sort of tubing bulkhead would be required in this 
position in any event regardless. The sandwich firewall gives 
a strong panel to bolt heavy objects to such as a battery, 
ignition coils  or cooling system pressure reservoir.

The firewall can be braced from behind with new tubes
if necessary. Much easier than starting from scratch.
