 Re: hoses, Tracy uses two 3/4" (I think) hoses in parallel, and Ed Anderson
 has 1" hose with two Evap cores in series and both cool.

Yes I did. I think it is early rotary engine from some vintage year.
It won't get the water pump down low enough for a Kis Cruiser Bill.
Might work on a Tailwind however.

Actually,  it was the "idea" of a water pump neck like the one shown
that stirred me up.  I  had been trying to modify the stock neck and
had created an ugly piece of crap that still too high.   What I am
now planning is to just make an aluminum flange using the gasket as a
pattern.  Weld in an aluminum bend and  you have the completed low
slung neck.   You can use the thermostat if you want.   Jerry
