I assume the one on the left is the fuel pressure
pulse damper. Correct? are you not running that Tracy?
Mine looks like it is getting ready to fail as the plastic
has turned yellow and has become brittle.
The pressure regulator has an input for manifold pressure
it looks like. Correct?

Correct.  I do use the damper but plan to remove it soon due to the

history

of leaks on them.  Ed removed his and noted no problems.

Adjust the fuel pressure by increasing the pressure on the diaphragm
inside, I think. Seems it is used as a rising rate fuel pressure
adjuster during boost to prevent overleaning (has input from intake
manifold for that pressure). Anyhow that is what I seem to remember on
them. The screws fall out all the time, use a little locktite on it.
Have been know to cause fires if the diaphragm inside has a leak, as the
gas comes out on the hot engine. A known rx7 malady. Not good.
