a Lycoming 0-320 set up).   The stock opening is approximately 24 to
30 sq inches.  The inlet can be by  scoop through the cowl top or
side.  Here are a couple of photos of the cooler tacked in place.
The wood on top represents the inlet scoop.

The Mazda Oil cooler when installed in this position is: 1) easy to
install;  2) easy to duct air to; 3) easy to exhaust air from; 4)
does not conflict with other major components.
