Looking at the photos in the last message, I wanted to point out that I removed the oil injection pump, and needed to block the oil passage in the front housing. To do this, I drilled out the galley just big enough to fit an aprox. 1/4 in dia ball bearing which I then placed into the hole before I installed the front cover.

That is a good idea. That will take care of that potential
oil leak. I want to emphasize the ball bearing goes in the
front cast iron END HOUSING and not the aluminum front
cover.
