The RB4000 can handle 220HP, it has been tested for 25 hrs. on a
Robinson
Helicopter engine rated at 220HP at 3200RPM It has further been run on
a
220HP Franklin engine and currently installed on a 220HP Subaru SVX
The problem is not the power output of your engine but the torsional
vibration for which the Rotary engines are noted
Could you advice us which conversion you are using and if it has been
installed and flying and if so what type of propeller you are using

Typical mis-information on the rotary. The rotary has less torsional
problems than a four cylinder. Not more. It is like the apex
seal problems 35 years ago. Is it going to take us 35 years
to live down the torsional myth?

Just a note - The aerotek was the prop that was on the Super Pulsar 100
that had to land in the river bottom in El Monte. Both (fortunately both)
blades departed the airplane on take off (first flight with this prop)
at about 50 feet agl The pilot skillfully U turned into the river bottom
and no damage to aircraft nor personell resulted. How good is YOUR

Alright guy's I give in! what are we going to use.
Any recomendations on props for our use with the outputs of 200 to 300 hp.

Make your own blades Don. Anybody that can design and build their own
PSRU can make their own prop blades. :-)
Here are some pictures of Butch's variable pitch hub jewel. As
soon as Perry gets the blades made and I get the dyno done we
will give it a severe gyro torque test with my turbo engine.
