Barny here is another way of doing the Schertz Beam that
will take the load of the 20B. It consist of a 1/2 thick by
2-1/2 inch wide aluminum bar stock. A lot of metal places
will cut it to size for you.

The main download
is taken by two 1/2 inch square 4130 tube diagonal
braces up to the intake manifold bolt on one
side and any convenient bolt on the other side.
the 4130 tubes can be connected to the Schertz beam
with a couple of one by one bolted angle extrusions on each side.
Not shown on the rendering. Also not shown is the starter.
I have not modeled a starter yet :-)

Thanx for the info Paul.

Just looked at the engine.  The six bolts for the oil pan would bolt through
the beam, oil pan and into the block.

Support for the back?

Measured the radiator on my Dodge Diesel truck.  42"long, 14" deep, and 1
1/2" deep. A truly great deer detector.  Someone was asking before.

Here is how I would do the rear mount. You might have to beef up the firewall 
to do it like this. A turn or two with left and right hand rod
ends means you can quickly adjust the thrust line. I would weld
straddle mount brackets on the oil pan as shown. Stronger than bolting 
it to the front cover.
