Anybody want a construction article on a modern
MSD system complete with PC board layout let me know.
Works up to 36,000 RPM and will provide two sparks at
9000 RPM on a rotary. 1000 sparks per second.

BTW No SCR is used Tracy. (Tracy had a SCR fail
in an early CD system on an ultra light and the resulting
crash hurt him bad.) One should use four of these
just in case. One for each spark plug.

FET's are used to switch the capacitor. The voltage
converter works at 20,000 CPS. (Early voltage converter systems
worked at only 2000) Max primary coil voltage is 300 volts so should
work well with stock coils.

In pdf form so too large to publish. If we get a lot of request
I will upload it to the http://www.thecarricos.net/ACRE/ web site
for download.

BTW regardless of the current these systems draw they could save
your life since they can fire through a lead fouled spark plug
in a worst case scenario.

BTW I made another error. This system will provide 4 sparks
at 9000 RPM on a 13B rotary and not just two if one system
per plug is used.
