Lynn, that is an interesting factoid.  I have seen 3, and haven't near

I have a few bolts were the factory plastic sleeve has become so screwed up
that I removed it. On those I apply a spiral bead of silicone. I don't think
I will have a problem with a broken bolt, so long as the plastic sleeve or
the silicone is in place.
