        What year models are you needing Royce? The 1979 RX7 manuel

lists

the low ratio as 2.458 and the reverse ratio as 2.181. My second

generation

manual (1986-91) is at the hgr so will get that info later unless

someone

beats me to it.

       Addendum- The 86 Mazda manual lists low ratio of 2.841 and

reverse ratio

                 of 2.40. I believe 86 to 88 are the same. I do not have

a 89-91

                 manual so some one else jump in here.

Er, Uh, well no, Paul, we are still working on a homemade dyno that anyone can
build from common automotive parts.
We have looked at using the RX7 auto to run a water pump for engine loading.
Finding a suitable pump though presents a slight problem.
We have found little information on how a water brake is designed, or works for
that matter.
We will probably just modify an automatic trans and use the torque converter to
load the engine by controlling the fluid level in the converter.
